We have designed programs and interactive assemblies for children who are facing challenges they may be struggling to overcome. Our six-week workshop provides young people with tools and strategies to better navigate life's obstacles. By focusing on coping mechanisms and fostering a deeper understanding of their backgrounds—what makes them uniquely themselves—we aim to empower them from an early age. Through this journey of self-discovery, we help build on their strengths, identify areas for growth, and instill resilience.
Research over the years has highlighted the undeniable benefits of sports and exercise on the brain, especially in reducing stress and improving problem-solving abilities. By combining sports with educational knowledge, we’ve created an impactful approach to supporting youth development. With over a decade of experience in sports and social care, we’ve successfully worked with some of the most challenging groups, enhancing their engagement and outcomes.
Founded by Rene & Malik we came together to create Play For Purpose, with our own stories and overcoming the barriers of underprivileged family backgrounds and the negative influences that impacted us growing up. We recognize the lack of provisions and support for children and teenagers in underprivileged circumstances, the organization was established to create programs that offer safe spaces and opportunities for youth but also a better understanding for the community on how we can improve.
Through diverse sporting activities, Play for Purpose engages local youth by hosting events that combine sports with educational components. Our commitment to inclusivity ensures that all children, regardless of their background, have access to participate. We come equipped with over 10 years of experience working with individuals with EBD and other complex behaviours helping them to gain better outcomes for their futures. Our main purpose is to raise the standards and improve academic and social outcomes for young people and to provide professional development for the staff teams that support them.
